The story we live in is God’s story.
And it’s the story of all He has given to us: new life in Christ.
By giving up his most precious treasure, Jesus, we are given the redemption, forgiveness and restoration to God that we could never earn ourselves. We live as those who overflow with grace, shown in how we give to serve and support the work of God among us, using our time, talents and treasures to serve one another.
Your generosity directly supports our mission to
Make fully devoted followers of Christ
who love God and love others
here in northern Virginia and around the world
But since you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you—see that you also excel in this grace of giving. 2 Corinthians 8:7
Sunday Offering
Place your check or cash donations in the wooden boxes at either entrance to the Main Room. Place your cash donations in an envelope with your name if you wish it to be added to your contribution record.
ONline
We use Realm to process online gifts using a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or Amex), Apple Pay or Google Pay, or ACH. You can set up regular weekly or monthly giving in this way. The church is charged a transaction fee of 3-4% for each donation (except the ACH fee is ~0.5%) You have the option to cover this additional fee as part of your gift.
BillPay
Many banks will allow you to set up a service where a regular check is created and mailed to CBC. This service results in no fees to CBC and is often free to the customer as well.

While we appreciate passion for a particular ministry or expense like our building loan, we are in a season now where we are encouraging everyone to give to the general fund which supports all the ministries of our church based on a prayerfully developed budget approved by our elders. Another much needed way to support a particular ministry is by committing to serve to support and encourage that ministry.

If you're 70½ or older, you can give directly from your IRA to CBC through a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD). Funds transferred directly from your IRA to the church count toward your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) if you're 73 or older, and are excluded from your taxable income, even if you don't itemize deductions. To make a QCD gift, contact your IRA custodian and request a direct transfer to CBC.
-
As noted above, many ways to give have associated processing costs (0.5-4%) that CBC is required to pay. These include Apple Pay, Google Pay, credit cards, and ACH transfers. The giver may chose to add an additional amount to their gift to cover these costs (this amount is tax deductible as a charitable donation) or use a service like BillPay which includes no fees to the church.
-
If you have a Donor-Advised Fund through an organization like Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, Vanguard Charitable, or your local community foundation, you can recommend a grant to CBC directly from your fund. Since you already received a tax deduction when you contributed to your DAF, grants made from it aren't deductible again — but they're an easy way to give from funds you've already set aside for charitable giving.

Gifts of cash or checks placed in the offering box by the last Sunday of the year will be counted as a contribution for that year. On-line gifts must be processed on Dec 31 or before. Donations that are mailed must be postmarked by Dec 31.
