Community Bible Study
Mission
The mission of Community Bible Study (CBS) is to make disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ in our communities through caring, in-depth Bible study - available to all.
Bible Study Overview
We are a 130 member interdenominational Women’s Community Bible Study (www.communitybiblestudy.org) class that uses the 4 component CBS format to study the Bible. No prior study of the Bible is necessary:
1) Home study (weekly lesson provided) 2) Small group discussion 3) Effective Teaching and Commentary and 4) Fellowship.
Schedule
Each year's study is a 30-week program that runs from mid-Sept to May. We will begin a study entitled Servants of God (Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1 & 2 Samuel) on Sept. 15, 2010 and meet Wednesdays at Chantilly Bible Church from 9:20AM to 11:20AM. Our last class for next year will be May 11, 2011.
Children's Program
We also have an exceptional children's ministry for ages 0 – 5 years old (date of birth from newborn to 9/30/2004). The program still has a few openings. We have plenty of room for women and visitors are welcome any time.
CostsAn annual registration fee of $25/woman and $10/child (maximum of $45/family) is required (scholarships are available). Donations are taken weekly for lessons and the children's ministry. Donations over an $85 annual level are tax-deductible.
