DeaconsThe term deacon means servant. The deacons therefore assist the elders in serving the fellowship, particularly in the physical realm. Specific areas include ministries to widows and other individuals needing special assistance, and other ministries as directed by the elders (Acts 6:1-7). The qualifications of deacons are set forth in I Timothy 3:8-10, 12, 13 and Acts 6:3. These are the men we have chosen to be the deacons of Chantilly Bible Church. Please feel free to contact any of them with your questions or concerns.
Deacon MinistriesBenevolence Ministry:The Benevolence team focuses on helping those within our body in times of financial hardship. The deacons have run financial stewardship training programs to equip members of the body to be good stewards of that which the Lord has entrusted to them. The deacons are available for budget and financial counseling as required to assist members of the body as well. This team of deacons also handles all requests for financial assistance from folks inside and outside our body. If you are struggling with financial issues, please contact the deacons at CBC for assistance. Widows and Single Moms:The Bible calls on believers to place Widows and children under special care. The deacons help out in this role at CBC by staying in contact with Widows and also with Single Moms. We seek to assist them in all sorts ways to meet the unique needs of Single Women striving to maintain their daily lives. If you are a Widow or a Single Mom and need some help with any issue, please call on the deacons for assistance. Samaritan's Helpers:Samaritan's Helpers is a special deacon ministry at CBC that plays match maker between those who have special needs in the body and those who are equipped to serve those needs. We are all blessed by serving one another, and the Samaritan's Helpers allow our body of believers be known as a loving and caring congregation that serves each other in time of need. If you have a need of any kind, please contact a deacon or simply fill out a Service Request form at the back of the Church Foyer. If you can offer your talents to serve others in the body, please fill out a Service Certificate in the back of the foyer. Drop these in the offering box and a deacon will contact you shortly. |
